Dave, your updated stats sheet DOES NOT include our 4-4 draw...

Business end of the season and the Firm show how it's done. Tight, effective, no nonsense stuff. Sure we took our foot off the gas in the last few minutes but we controlled the game throughout.

MoM was Stirling for a great game between the sticks, but Sacha chased him hard with a well taken hat trick at the other end.

Let's have GoBet next week.

Finally after a number of attempts, and a second penalty shootout, we get one over GoBet

I'm still not sure how we didn't win this one in normal time, but all that matters is the final result.

Stirls wrapped up MoM before the game even started with a phenomenal coolerbox performance.

Q: What's better than 3 stars?

A: FORZA!!!!!

Stats updated for the whole of Season 2, Championship winning season.

MoM for the final was shared between Brandon, whose intensity really made the difference on the night, and Mr Heed who took "give everything for the Firm" to new heights.

Season recap:
Pretty dodgy start to the season, with mid May seeing us on 5 games played, 2 won, 1 draw and 2 losses. Since then however we have been unbeaten, with some really efficient (if not entirely sexy) football.

It's been a while in coming, but third final in a row proved to be the charm. Amazing season coming from 5th at the end of the league stages to take the championship.

Season 3 starts the same way season 2 ended, with a strong Firm performance and a big W for the Black & White Wizards.

Goals galore on Bastille Day for our French contingent, and Manny walked away with our MoM award for his efforts.

The Firm AFC showed some good patience, overcoming a sluggish start against pretty mince Div 1 newcomers, ending the night with a comprehensive 5-0 victory.

MoM goes to yours truly with 4 goals. I dedicate this MoM award to our fearless leader who is probably under the knife as I write this.

Get well presidente.

After an extended break the Firm AFC picked up where they left off with a controlled, comfortable victory over the Backdoor Boys. After 3-3 at half time they had nothing to match the silky skilz of the Firm in the second half, with us finishing off at 7-3.

MoM went to Tinto for his 4 goal haul and 3rd person writing ability.

Think you attached the wrong stats sheet there, MoM!

I love the delays in posting defeats...seems legit!

Sacha:

Hey chines,

Have you moved the stats table?!

Or have you just been a lazy f#ck?! lol

Ummmm, option B? Here they are Sach - last time I posted we were 3 from 3, now we are 3 from 6, but as everybody knows we come from mid table to win championships.

Hey guys

Stats updated to include our 5-5 draw with Usual Suspects.

MoM went to Sacha for two fantastic free kick goals, and an epic suplex manoeuvre on one of their players.

Stats updated to include our abysmal QF gubbing at the hands of Here 4 Beer.

MoM voting was as lacklustre as the on-field performance, but it went to Mr Heed.

We've got a couple of games to get things back on track in time for next season, so lets fucking have one.

After our QF exit the plan was always to finish off the season on a high note, and that's exactly what happened in the plate final, with a comprehensive 9-5 gubbing of Usual Suspects.

MoM went to Manny for his 4 goal haul.

We ended the season in Spurs-like fashion, with a 4-1-4 record, finishing 5th.

We were a little more shy in attack with 53 goals scored (5.9 per game) which is a bit lower than previous seasons (6.2 in S2 and 6.9 in S1)
And a little leakier in defence with 44 goals conceded (4.9 per game) versus 3.8 in S2 and 4.4 in S1

So lots to work on for the final season of the year, but also lots of positives too

FORZA!!!
